JUNIOR PROGRAM
At Altona Sports Cricket Club, we believe in nurturing young talent. Our junior cricket program is the heart and soul of our club. With 6 under-11 junior sides and 2 under-13 junior sides, we provide a supportive and fun environment for kids to develop their cricketing skills. We believe in fostering a love for the sport that will last a lifetime.
EXCEPTIONAL COACHING & FACILITIES
At Altona Sports Cricket Club, we are proud to offer exceptional coaching and facilities. Our experienced coaches have played cricket at the state, national, and international levels, bringing their expertise and passion to every training session. We provide top-notch training facilities, including well-equipped nets with all the necessary equipment, including bowling machines. We are committed to helping our players reach their full potential and excel in the sport.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Our commitment to excellence is evident in our recent achievements. In 2022/23, we proudly clinched 3 premierships, showcasing our dedication to the sport and the hard work of our players. In addition to these triumphs, we were honored to be named the Winner of the 2023 Cricket Victoria Junior Initiative of the Year program. This recognition underscores our commitment to nurturing the next generation of cricket stars and promoting the sport within our community. It’s not just about winning; it’s about the camaraderie, the sportsmanship, and the passion that define our club.
In March of 2024 we received the ‘Inclusion and Diversity Initiative of the Year Award’ from Cricket Victoria. Creating a space that sees over 200 people be able to play the sport without the usual financial burden, in an environment that is inclusive to all, is the key reason why we have created the program that we have.
